Assistive Technology support and guidance

Since completing my Masters by Research, I’ve taken a leap into the world of assistive technology by creating “Power 2 Assistive Tech.” This initiative is all about providing specialist sessions that cater to individuals needing support through technology. It’s been an exciting journey, blending my academic knowledge with practical applications to empower users. My aim is to demystify assistive tech and make it accessible to everyone, whether they’re students, professionals, or simply looking for ways to enhance their daily lives. The feedback has been fantastic, and it’s rewarding to see the positive impact of tailored tech solutions in action.

From a student to now I have had access to a range of assistive technology to help me get through my educational journey and my working life. Now I want to help the next generation whether that is part of specialist sessions or through working with organisations to develop Assistive Technology in their settings.

  • Environmental controls – Grid 3, Tobii Dynavox – Snap and Core, Abilia remotes/controls, Alexa, Google home, controllable blind, curtains and lights
  • Telecare such as Epilepsy sensors, bed occupancy
