Accessible digital recipes and daily living skills
Whilst working as a 1:1 carer I identified that recipes were not accessible for people with disabilities or individuals who use AAC. So I started creating a range of simple recipes. Further into my career when working at specialist college I developed the recipes further to include interactive ingredients and equipment pages as well as add washing up/ putting away steps at the end of each recipe.

After sucess of the recipes, daily living skills such as doing laundry and hoovering were created.

Digital social stories
Do you create social stories then loose the piece of paper? Do you have to recreate social stories each time you need it? Well I have a solution for you, whilst working as a teaching assistant I was always recreating social stories as my knowledge of Grid 3 developed I realised I could create social stories which were available on multiple occassions. The social stories also used voice output meaning individuals can look at their social stories. So at Power2AssistiveTech we want to offer to create social stories to more individuals.
